In Pralormo, in the province of Turin, the Alberto Zanetta Design & Consulting studio reimagined the layout and design of the Antefora restaurant in the Lo Scoiattolo hotel. With the specific request to keep costs in check, especially during such a complex time for the industry, solutions that improve the environmental comfort were prioritized. This included harmony between light, materials, colors, and, most importantly, acoustic considerations.
To reduce reverberation time, Mottura roller blinds with Soltis Touch sound-absorbing fabric from Serge Ferrari were installed, along with Soundflex acoustic panels from Tensilence, covered with the same material. These panels were suspended seemingly randomly with the precise goal of visually unifying a highly irregular ceiling.
The results of acoustic measurements, conducted before and after installation, showed a reduction of up to 55% in the reverberation time of frequencies between 500 Hz and 2000 Hz, typical of spoken language in indoor environments.
