Raytent yarns are woven into fabrics and carpets inspired by the colors of Sardinia to furnish the outdoor spaces of the prestigious Baglioni Resort Sardinia.
The northeastern coast of Sardinia, with its colors, scents, and strong winds, creates a sensory connection with the surrounding environment and a complex experience between humans and nature. Here, the senses are constantly stimulated, highlighting the attention to detail and materials. These materials need to be innovative, not only ensuring high performance but also respecting nature and the surrounding environment. Colors and textures play an important role in providing psychological as well as physical well-being.
The analysis and development of these key themes formed the framework of Spagnulo & Partners' Design project for the Baglioni Resort Sardinia. Mariantonia Urru, an ancient Sardinian weaver, has interpreted these characteristics through the use of recycled Raytent yarns to create artisanal, high-performing, and sustainable products for outdoor areas.
The Design project by Spagnulo & Partners places great importance on the outdoor spaces, which are the true focal point of the resort's life. These areas exhibit meticulous attention to materials and color choices, in perfect harmony with the philosophies reflected in the interiors and architectural materials.
The poolside area is furnished with wooden and cane structures, creating true living spaces with wooden armchairs and loungers. The cushions, fabrics, and carpets, made from recycled Raytent yarns, enhance a strong connection with nature and the territory. The lounge terrace is another captivating location in the resort. It is situated on the flat roof of the bar, offering a magnificent view of the sea. Here too, the colorful carpets and fabrics, along with the ceramics of the tables and stone floors, reflect the value and identity of the project..
The Raytent carpets, in particular, are naturally durable, resistant, and remain intact from rain and sun exposure. They can be left outdoors all year round, designed to stay beautiful over time, even with foot traffic. The same applies to the fabrics, which are soft and pleasant to the touch, allowing for moments spent outdoors in comfort and well-being.
