GIOVANARDI participated in the important R+T trade fair in Stuttgart from 19 to 23 February 2024, an international event dedicated to outdoor and sun protection systems, gathering great enthusiasm from many customers for the innovations presented.
The company, which has long been committed to proposing highly avant-garde and high-performance textile solutions, presented the latest collections of technical fabrics that are the result of in-depth research in the sun protection sector: a wide range of innovative solutions and sustainable products to best meet the needs of the indoor and outdoor market. Visitors, welcomed in the stand of about 200 m2, through a path that followed the line of light from 0 to 100, were able to get to know the new collections of the brands Irisun®, Textout, Raytent®, Syncromia and Soltis (Serge Ferrari).
R+T 2024 represented an important world stage not only for GIOVANARDI's textile novelties but also for the important partnerships that the company has forged over time and which allow it to offer complete, quality solutions to its customers.

TEXTOUT - Opatex Cool
Opatex Cool, winner of the MADE AWARDS 2023, is the new thermo-reflective blackout fabric for sun protection and energy saving that protects rooms from the heat of the sun through a passive cooling system. Thanks to its special thermo-reflective paint, it lowers the perceived temperature under the pergola by up to 2 degrees.
GIOVANARDI has therefore developed a new thermo-reflective fabric that also significantly helps in energy savings.
Opatex Cool is a blackout PVC-coated polyester composite membrane with a special transparent coating (HSR - High Solar Reflectance) on the outer surface exposed to the sun that enables greater reflection of radiant heat. In this way, a dark coloured fabric (even black) can achieve the same performance as a white one.
Cristal Cool
New Cristal with G tot = 0.34 and light transmittance of 80%. This innovative Cristal is shading with excellent transparency.
Cristal Noglare
New Cristal with special anti-glare pigment.
RAYTENT
Raytent, the green economy brand, treats waste as a resource to be exploited. Through an up-cycling process, awning waste is recovered, transformed into recycled fibre and mixed with virgin fibre. The result is a yarn composed of 50 per cent recycled fibre, made by a process that uses less water, reduces the use of chemicals and emits less CO2. Raytent yarn is very versatile and embraces multiple worlds, from interior design and outdoor living to sun protection and textile architecture. Raytent is the first pre-consumer recycled dyed acrylic yarn, certified ReMade in Italy, created to recover awning production waste through a process that uses less water, fewer chemicals and greatly limits CO2 emissions. Raytent technology is developed at Giovanardi to reduce the impact on the planet and ensure a more sustainable future. The textile articles that result from this virtuous process go into furnishing objects developed with important partners in the market.
Raytent Shade New Collection
The new Raytent Shade collection is divided into the three new folders Raytent Textures, Raytent Stripes and Raytent Imperfecta. New patterns and colours define the new collection of eco-friendly acrylic fabrics, made from 100% recycled Raytent yarn, ReMade in Italy certified.
IRISUN
The Irisun collections by GIOVANARDI: the new Solar Protection collection of highly preforming fabrics and membranes, representing the perfect combination of form and content, design and quality. Innovative fabrics designed to furnish indoor and outdoor spaces with fresh colour solutions and exclusive materials for contemporary comfort. Irisun acrylic fabrics are high quality and fully recyclable with the Raytent process.
Irisun Shade New collection
The new collection of Irisun Shade acrylic fabrics is divided into the new folders Scarabissi, Strike, Di-Segni, New Alphabet. More than 20 new design fabric patterns for the world of sun protection.
SYNCROMIA
Syncromia is the new collection of technical fabrics for indoor blinds by GIOVANARDI. Made from durable, high quality materials, the collection, designed for roller, panel and vertical strip blinds, offers the perfect combination of flexibility, functionality and aesthetic excellence for covering glass surfaces. The fabrics in the collection are available in a refined scale of colours, transparencies, textures and flame-retardant materials offering superior functional performance.
