RAYTENT: The recycled acrylic yarn to weave the future

Giovanardi proposes a new way of conceiving and experiencing indoor and outdoor spaces based on respect for the environment, the exaltation of comfort and the celebration of design

Raytent becomes life style in a stand of over 90 m2 where recycling meets design to give shape to high-value textile furnishing accessories. The exhibition follows the movements of the warp and weft in a mix of yarns, fabrics, textures and colors that enhance the green soul of the products.

Raytent is the first pre-consumer recycled mass-dyed acrylic yarn, ReMade in Italy certified, created to recover awning production waste through a process that uses less water, fewer chemicals and significantly limits CO2 emissions. Raytent technology is developed in Giovanardi to reduce the impact on the planet and guarantee a more sustainable future. The textile items resulting from this virtuous process go into furnishing objects developed with important market partners.

An important area, again this year, is the one dedicated to indoor/outdoor rugs made with the Raytent Yarn collection. You can touch Made in Italy carpets made by Mariantonia Urru, an ancient Sardinian weaving company, which represents one of the few artisan textile workshops left in Italy. A second interesting collaboration can be found in the carpets designed by Paolo Zani and produced by Warli, a Milanese company with an international scope, which has chosen Raytent yarns to create new collections that respect the environment. In this edition the exhibition hosts seats and sofas by Roda and Nardi, two cutting-edge companies that have a responsible attitude towards the environment based on a careful selection of materials, for a sustainable design. Roda highlights Raytent yarn through cords and straps specially developed for its collections, including Laze and Piper. The cushions are covered in a Raytent Living fabric designed to have structure, resistance and design in a single product with exclusive colours. An interesting path is also being undertaken with Nardi, a well-known brand that has always had a strong focus on the environment, starting from its own production chain. With the aim of providing high quality, safe and low environmental impact products, Nardi has developed a proud proposal with fabrics from the Raytent Living collection to dress the Folio armchair which can be admired, in the Raytent version, in an absolute preview.

In the setup you can find the new Soundflex sound-absorbing panels, from the Tensilence brand, by Giovanardi, which for the first time are covered with recycled Raytent fabric. Sustainability meets acoustic comfort for 360-degree well-being. On this occasion, the catalog of the new collection of Tensilence sound-absorbing panels is presented as a preview, characterized by new shapes and designs.

Another highly anticipated novelty is Raytent Drapery, the new collection of nine colors where the fabric is light and breathable with a weave that opens and becomes soft. Designed three meters high as a tribute to the beauty of the tent, Raytent Drapery finds its place both at home and in outdoor environments.

The fabrics of the Raytent Shade collection are woven horizontally to evoke the comfort of a sun protection cover. They are fabrics with a stiff feel, treated to have high water and oil repellency and the colours, exposed to UV, remain unchanged over time.

Raytent also enters the world of lighting with a floor lamp with lampshade made from recycled Raytent fabric. Developed with the Croatian company Lika, the floor lamp is exhibited for the first time at the Salone del Mobile.

Finally, there is no shortage of Giovanardi's Irisun Living collections, which represent the perfect combination of form and content, design and quality. Innovative fabrics designed to furnish indoor and outdoor spaces with fresh color solutions and exclusive materials for contemporary comfort. Irisun acrylic fabrics are high quality and entirely recyclable with the Raytent process.

Don't miss the large installation by Mario Cucinella in pavilion 15 of S. Project, dedicated to the circular economy as a key element for the future of living. In this project, Raytent represents a virtuous path to reduce the environmental impact in the urban contexts of the future.

With Raytent you enter a world of textile products with enveloping colours, captivating textures and high-performance features to furnish indoor and outdoor environments in perfect harmony with nature.
